Bomb Threat Investigated

On February 14, 2019 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Sanilac Central Dispatch received a call from school officials at Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School advising a student found a message written on a wall in the restroom referencing a potential bomb threat.
Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the school to assess the threat level and help ensure safety to all students along with the Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School staff.
The school was cleared by Deputies and school staff and also by Sanilac County K-9 Baki who is trained in explosive odor detection and nothing was located and the students resumed normal activities.
The case is still under investigation and anyone who has information is asked to call the Sanilac County Detective Bureau at 810-648-5663.
