Oktoberfest & Klaus Grass Drags this Weekend

Deckerville Oktoberfest is back!
On Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Main Street will be filled with vendors of all kinds. From crochet and hand sewn items, food, jewelry, one of a kind home décor and holiday decorations, homemade bath salts and beauty supplies, to locally grown produce and pet items, Deckerville’s Oktoberfest will have it all!
Come and enjoy the day with your family and friends and find the perfect gift for a friend or yourself! While you’re in town check out the antique tractors that will be on display and the Quilt Show and old Deckerville calendars at the Deckerville Museum. See the Mills Church quilt that each contributor paid ten cents to have their name placed on it. The museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Deckerville Public Library will be open for Story Time and Craft for children pre-school – 4th grade from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., and kid’s games and prizes, crafts and face painting will be at Campus Life Quest. A little something for everyone!
Along with Oktoberfest, the seventh annual Kris Klaus Memorial Snowmobile Grass Drags will be going on, both Friday and Saturday, September 18-19.
It will be held at Wilson Park, with opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m., on Friday. Refreshments, free will donation, proceeds to Kris Klaus Scholarship Fund. ATV, UTV and Tractor Pulls (M/T Pocket Pullers) will be held, starting at 7:00 p.m., $10 entrance fee, non-members $15 – 50% payout.
On Saturday, Snowmobiles & ATV Races, registration 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Races at 12:00 p.m. Racing fees: $15 per sled/ATV, pit passes for non-racers $3. Radar runs available before and after races. At 1:00 p.m., ATV, UTV and Tractor Pulls will be held (M/T Pocket Pullers), $10 entrance fee, non-members $15 – 50% payout.
