Health Occupations class attend H.O.S.A Conference

Twenty-one students from the Health Occupations class at the Sanilac Career Center traveled to Traverse City April 15-18 to attend the H.O.S.A (Health Occupations Students of America) State- leadership conference.
The conference hosted over 2300 students from all over Michigan. The students competed in one of 54 different health related events. Health Occupations students competed in Bio-Medical Debate, H.O.S.A. Bowl, Medical Photography, Extemporaneous Writing, Prepared Speaking, Researched Persuasive Speaking and Home Health Aide. Six of these students placed in the top 8 for their event.
The students wish to thank Maurer’s Parkside Butcher Shop, Jerry’s Foodland all of Sandusky and J & D Market of Croswell, for food items donated to help with the trip.
