The Marlette Pool and Park are truly a community affair! In addition to the previous articles with community businesses helping with the pool, The Marlette GFWC went to both parks in town Saturday to plant flowers. The Marlette Pinochle Club, once again donated their end of year earnings of $1,000 to the Friends of the Pool Account. Over the past four years they have donated $2,400. The park has seen lots of activity over the past week. The youth group from Hope Community Church used the Volley Ball courts, Wednesday, as well as students from the preschool to second grade from Marlette Elementary school having a picnic and playing games. Thursday, June 4, the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students used the entire park including the pool for their end of the year celebration. Approximately 150 students used the pool, play equipment, tennis courts, basketball courts, and pavilions for snacks.
