Redskin Review 10/14/15 Edition

Homecoming Spirit Week is underway once again! Amazingly, our students find time to make Spirit Week even more spectacular each year despite busy fall schedules. Furthermore, the season has flown by, but this Spirit Week will be the perfect way for our fall sports to begin to conclude.
Monday started off our excellent week with the Thumb Friends of the Arts Marching Festival at Lakers High School. Our Sandusky Marching Band once again presented an amazing half-time show with this years “Top 100” theme. We’re still expecting the final scores from this year’s judges where we will be graded on a score of 50 possible points, similar to Solo Ensemble grades. Moreover, the band is anxiously awaiting their reviews after performing one of their best marching shows yet. They can’t wait to raise the bar even farther next year and through the years to come!
To kick off Spirit Week, students have had the chance to celebrate every day this week leading up to Homecoming with dress up days. This year students were invited to sport fashion themes such as, Beach Day, Safari Day, Gender Bender Day, Color Day, and of course classic Redskin Day. The excitement from these days continually encouraged anticipation for our Friday night Homecoming football game against the Memphis Yellow-Jackets.
Not to mention, everyone’s growing anticipation for the announcements to come during the soon-to-be extraordinary event. Aside from the football game between one of our most competitive rivals, the audience will enjoy watching the crowning of our Homecoming King and Queen of 2015. It’s sure to be a difficult choice with so many wonderful and unique individuals as candidates. Over all, the night is definitely going to be one to remember especially after such a great week of preparation and anticipation!
