Tractor Pull and Demolition Derby

The Sanilac County 4-H Fair will be highlighting BIG sounds with BIG hits as the Tractor and Pickup Pull takes place on Friday night in front of the Grandstand at 7:00 p.m. and the Demolition Derby performs in front of the Grandstand at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night! “Tractor pulling and the Demolition Derby are both huge hits with fairgoers!” states Jim Burns, 4-H Fairboard President. “We’re expecting big crowds both nights, so people should be sure to get there early to grab good seats!”
The Thumb Tractor Pulling Association’s exciting competition kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9. It is sponsored by Graff Chevrolet Buick, Marlette Oil & Gas, and Tri-County Equipment. The event will be running two tracks at a time, with the following categories featured: 5500 V8 Hot Rods, 6000 Farm, 6200 Modified Tractor, 8000 Diesel Pro Stock, 93 Super Farm, Light Limited Supers, 6200 Pro Street Pickups, 6200 Super Stock Pickups, Hot Diesel Pickups, 2.5/2.6 Diesel Pickups, Street Legal Pickups, and 10,000 Farm Tractors.
“The sound of roaring engines and crushing metal will fill the stands when the popular Demolition Derby comes into town on Saturday, August 10, at 7:00 p.m. to finish off a thrilling week of Grandstand events at the 2019 Sanilac County 4-H Fair!” shares Burns. This event is sponsored by Cros-Lex Laundry, Marlette Oil & Gas, Tri-County Bank, and Waste Management.

Gate price for the 4-H Fair is $15 daily, which includes parking, rides and admission to the grandstand. “MEGA passes can be purchased for $55 at the Fairboard office at MSU Extension, 171 Dawson Street, Suite 323, Sandusky. They can also be purchased at the Fairboard office on the fairgrounds until noon on Sunday, August 4, or until the limited supply runs out,” reports Burns. “Mega-tickets are a great value because they’re good for daily admission into the 4-H Fair, Grandstand events, and onto all the rides!”
