Flamingo Fling sets New Event Record

The SAVE Council set a new event record on April 20, at the 21st Annual Flamingo Fling!
This year’s event included 128 ladies on a mission to everything possible to support the Eva’s Place Shelter. The event ended with a net total of $81,030.04 to help support the annual operating costs of the shelter program.
This year’s Fundraising team was lead by Executive Director, Sherri Lanctot with Diane, Reinke, Donna Foster, Heather Main, Pat McVittie, Debbie Lasecki, Heather Gordon, Jennifer Gezequel, Jennifer and Jessica Kursinsky, Bonnie Erbe, Therese Stone, Kim Hart, Karole Mezo, Sandy Edgley, Tabitha Jensen, Michelle VanNorman, Samantha Warren, Leah Main, and Amy Schroeder.
The event was supported by 20 Super Sponsors that included Eastern Michigan Bank, C & M Homes, Richare Nadjkovi, Applegate Lions, Independent Bank, Main Law, Bee Clean Laundry, Bee Oily with Bonnie, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Dr. Sams, Liberty Power, Tri County Equipment, Lee Haener & Son Trucking, Ashley’s Attic and Storage, Faith Anns Auto Spa, Wilbur Ellis, Farm Bureau/Macanna Briolat Agency, Thumb Cellular, Westpark Inn and Author Sherry Burton. An additional 110 cash sponsor and 200 prize sponsors helped to make this year’s event the most successful in it’s 21 year history.
The SAVE Council continues it’s fundraising efforts with a Doterra’s Helping Hands matching grant and Shelter Suite Sponsorships seeking financial donations to help with both efforts.
