Museum offers Model T tours through the historic Village of Port Sanilac

Port Sanilac, MI – The Sanilac County Historical Society invites you to enjoy a tour in a 1917, open-air Model T. Owner/operator, Tim Juhl, has beautifully-restored this automobile and looks forward to sharing some of the interesting history of Village, the Thumb, and Lake Huron with guests.
The approximate 30-minute tours begin at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum, and include a ride down beautiful Lake Street , with stops past some of the Village’s most historic homes, the Port Sanilac Lighthouse, and the harbor.
Juhl mentions that there is no shortage of awesome photo opps on his tour. “The Model T seats two comfortably in back, with room for a smaller adult in front. An extra child or two can usually be tucked in between adults. We’ve even had a dog join us,” said Juhl.
Tours are available most Fridays, and other dates are possible by calling the Museum office at 810.622.9946. Walk-ups are welcome, but reservations are strongly encouraged.
Prices are as follows: $15 for adults and kids under 12 ride free.
A portion of each fee will help support programming at the Museum.
Ask about packages that include tours of the Loop-Harrison Mansion and the Port Sanilac Lighthouse, with Model-T transportation/tour in between! These tours offer you “straight to the front of the line” service at the Lighthouse!
