Regular Meeting Minutes
April 22, 2024
The Deckerville Community Schools Board of Education met in regular session on
April 22, 2024 in the high school library.
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by President Brandon Stolicker.
Members present: Danielle Walsh, Randee Kirkpatrick, Curt Vogel, Richard Hamill, Jason McConnachie, Kendra Messing, Brandon Stolicker
Administrators present: Matthew Connelly, Josh Stern, Aaron Sutherland
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Jason McConnachie to adopt the agenda for the April 22, 2024 Regular Meeting. Carried.
Motion by Danielle Walsh, support by Kendra Messing to approve the regular meeting minutes of March 18, 2024. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Jason McConnachie to approve the General Fund bills in the amount of $133,235.58. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Kendra Messing to approve the Athletic Fund bills in the amount of $2,594.69. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Jason McConnachie to approve the Food Service Fund bills in the amount of $24,875.70. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Jason McConnachie to approve the Student/School Activity Fund bills in the amount of $6,820.48. Carried.
The Board reviewed the prompt pay bills for March 2024.
The Board heard administrative reports from Aaron Sutherland, Elementary Principal, and Joshua Stern, High School Principal.
Motion by Jason McConnachie, support by Kendra Messing to approve the following probationary and tenured teachers as recommended by Elementary Principal Aaron Sutherland and High School Principal Josh Stern and Mr. Connelly, Superintendent: Carried

Motion by Richard Hamill, support by Kendra Messing to approve the previously 57 approved NEOLA policies from the fall of 2017 – Spring of 2024. Carried.
