The Lady Eagles played a nail-biter at home last week, defeating Bay City All Saints by one point, 29-28.
It was a hard-fought battle, with Deckerville leading by 3 after a quarter of play, 8-5. The Lady Eagles added 6 points in the second quarter, with All Saints scoring 10, for a 15-14 All Saints lead. Deckerville outscored All Saints 9-7 in the third, regaining the lead, 23-22. Both teams added 6 in the fourth, for an Eagle victory.
Libby Tank led the Eagles with 11 points and 17 rebounds. Emma Salowitz added 5 points to the total and Jessie Heilig, 4. Rounding off the scoring were Shelby Flanagan 3 points, 4 assists and 3 steals and Leah Trigger, Sophia Sanford and Johanna Kubacki, 2 each.
The girls will take on Sandusky on December 28, at Little Caesars Arena.
