Present: Village President Murdock, Council Members: Cesefske, Ridley, West, Dore, Noble, Kubik.
Absent:
Administration: Village Supervisor/Fire Chief Tracy Hoff and Police Chief Fred Ameel.
Guests: Sally West, Arica Frisbey, William Eden, Karen Bennett, Andrew Watts. Open public hearing on budget 7:05 p.m.
Passed: Council person Dore moved, West seconded to approve the minutes of November 14, 2022, with correction.
Passed: Council person Kubik moved, Ridley seconded to accept the February Police, Fire & Treasurer’s reports.
Passed: Council person Kubik moved, Cesefske seconded to approve the bills in the amount of $48,638.78.
Passed: Council person Ridley moved, Dore seconded to allow and wave fee for the Lions Club white cane donations at the four corners of Deckerville on May 5-6.
Passed: Council person Kubik moved, Noble seconded to allow dcdc to block off Black River Street to Ella Street for a festival September 9. Alternate location Main Street to Maple Street.
Passed: Planning commission 6:00 p.m. meeting presented recommendation on Marijuana ordinance drawn up by Village Attorney. Council person Cesefske moved, Noble seconded to accept ordinance amendment.
Passed: Council person Cesefske moved, Noble seconded to accept annual fees & licenses with changes.
Passed: Council person West moved, Noble seconded to close budget hearing with resolution in effect.
Moved into Closed Session at 8:02 p.m.
Out of Closed Session at 8:20 p.m.
Passed: Council person Cesefske move, Noble seconded that Police Chief’s contract be changed to receive roll over comp time.
Passed: Council person Cesefske move, Noble seconded the resolution to amend the budget.
With no further business, meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
