The Deckerville Community Schools Board of Education met for a Special Meeting on May 8, 2023 in the high school library at 5:30 p.m.
Members present: Curt Vogel, Jason McConnachie, Randee Kirkpatrick, Brandon Stolicker, Amy Dumaw, Richard Hamill, Kendra Messing
Administrator Present: Josh Stern
Motion by Amy Dumaw, support by Kendra Messing to adopt the May 8, 2023 Special Meeting Agenda. Carried.
Second round interviews were held for the following Superintendent candidates:

5:30 p.m. – Matthew Connelly
6:30 p.m. – Sean Wightman
7:30 p.m. – Ryan Eugster

Motion by Kendra Messing, support by Curt Vogel to approve the hiring of Matthew Connelly as the new Superintendent for Deckerville Community Schools. Roll call: Curt Vogel – Y; Jason McConnachie – Y; Randee Kirkpatrick – Y; Brandon Stolicker – Y; Amy Dumaw – N; Richard Hamill – Y; Kendra Messing – Y. Carried.

Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Amy Dumaw to adjourn at 10:08 p.m. Carried.
