SHS Bowling takes Class C State Title

A perfect game is hard to top, but the Sandusky Boys Varsity Bowling Team just keeps improving. The Sandusky boys traveled to the Royal Scot bowling alley in Grand Ledge, Michigan on March 4th to face off in the D4 State tournament.
Sandusky bested Niles Brandywine in the first round and felled familiar rival Bad Axe in the second round.
The match for all the marbles was against St. Charles. The total pinfall favored Sandusky by 98, with a final tally of 1331-1233.
Logan Hughes lead the team in the final round with a score of 245, followed by Brett Hancock with a 207, Cody Johnston with a 194, Jared Jagotka with a 173 and Dakota Pallas rolling a 153 for a regular game total of 972. Kyle Tuttle, of the St. Charles prep school, bowled a 214 but the rest of the Cardinal team could not keep up with the Redskin rollers, combining for only 894 in regular games.
The baker game results for Sandusky were 193 and 166 for a total of 359, edging out St. Charles by an additional 20 pins.
Congratulations to the 2016 State Champs!
