SHOP SMALL START IN YOUR HOME TOWN

Saturday, November 26, 2022 is Small Business Saturday – a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. This year, we know that small businesses need our support now more than ever as they navigate, retool and pivot from the effects of the pandemic. Please join the millions of Americans across the country in supporting your local small businesses by shopping at a small business.
Sandusky has many locally owned retail shops that could serve your needs for the perfect Christmas gift. Ace Hardware, Ball Equipment, Benchwarmers, DQ Grill & Chill, Elk Street Brewery, Graff Chevrolet-Buick, Keys Radio, Liberty Lanes, McDonalds, Parkside Meats, Sanilac Pharmacy, Sara Jane Dress Shop, Real Video, The Traveler, Tr-County Equipment, Tubbs Brothers, TH Fitness, and Yager Auto Parts.
Marlette has become a favorite Small Business Saturday destination the last several years, with in-store specials, free refreshments, and drawings for prizes. This year, there are 10 participating businesses participating from 10 am to 5 pm. Ben’s Great Outdoors, Strickly Delightful, Home Again Antiques, Jocularity Coffee House, Amy’s Country Corner, Harvest Moon Gatherings, Creative Expressions, Carriage House Floral, Ben’s Supercenter and Gracie’s Crafts all welcome you to see what they have in store for you. You will find things for everyone on your list.
All Marlette banks and participating businesses each have printed guides to show you the specials and introduce you to these unique shops.
The Marlette Farmers Market is hosting a Christmas Market indoors at Jocularity Coffee House, one of the buildings in the Van Dyke & 67 complex on the south edge of town. A dozen very talented crafters will have handmade jewelry in a wide variety of styles, Christmas gifts and décor, heirloom quality wooden toys and ornaments, creatively upcycled aprons, furniture and vintage silverware refashioned into jewelry and household items, gifts for your pets, handmade goats milk soap and bath items, and more! Three exceptionally talented bakers will have beautifully decorated sugar cookies, artisan breads, muffins, cookies and more. Fashion lovers of all ages are looking forward to the very popular mobile boutique “Gypsy Junk Michigan” with beautiful women’s clothing and accessories. The Christmas Market runs from 10 am to 4 pm on Small Business Saturday, November 26th.
Wherever you live, make a point of shopping at your hometown businesses. These independent stores, restaurants, and cafés are what make our hometowns a great place to live
