Lady Raiders Bested by Caro

The Marlette Lady Red Raiders hosted Caro last Monday. Marlette got out to an early lead, rallying for 20 points in the first quarter while holding Caro to just 9. Caro kept pace with the Lady Raiders in the second quarter but the Tigers were still trailing by 10 points at halftime.
Caro’s coach must have given them the inspirational speech of a lifetime during halftime because the Lady Tigers came out swinging in the second half, outscoring the Lady Raiders 30-10 and taking the victory 49-41.
Leading the way for the Lady Red Raiders was Olivia Findlay with 15 points, 2 assists, 6 boards and 5 steals. Gabby Martinez chipped in 13 points, 2 assists, 9 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.
Hollie Hartwell chipped in 6 points, 2 boards and a steal. Dalaney Gage added 3 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds. Ciatlyn Keys chipped in 3 assists, 3 rebounds, a block and 2 steals. Lily Lemanski added 2 points and 2 rebounds. Josie Hinojosa had 2 points and an assist. The Lady Red Raiders split the games in their two game homestand are now 1-1 overall. Marlette hits the road for a stint of away games, starting with Vassar on Thursday and ending in USA on the 13th. The Lady Red Raiders will return to home action against Cros-Lex on the 19th.
