The Forester Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on May 25, 2023 at 7 pm at the Township Hall/Polling Place 2470 N. Lakeshore Road, Deckerville, MI 48427

Nature of the Request: To hear comments on a variance of the zoning ordinance section 9.03.04 Yards-Setbacks:
Variance Request 1: The property owner requests a two-foot (2’-0) side yard setback variance on the northside of the property to a eight-feet set back. Current zoning ordinance requires a ten-foot set back from the side property line.
Variance Request 2: The property owner has requested a variance to construct a roof canopy on the east side of the residence. The set back is requested to allow a partial variance from the requirements of section 9.03.04 (E) on a Waterfront Lot or Parcel.

You are invited to attend this hearing and make public comment. The plans and request for the variances may be examined and written comments may be submitted to the Township Clerk. Written comments will be received by mailing or dropping off to the Township Clerk in advance of the meeting to:

The Zoning Board of Appeals may approve, approve with conditions or deny a reuqest for a Variance under the provisions of the zoning ordinance and Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Public Act 110 of 2006.
