Board of Education – Regular Meeting Minutes
December 18, 2023

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Board President, Brandon Stolicker.
Members present: Randee Kirkpatrick, Curt Vogel, Brandon Stolicker, Danielle Walsh, Jason McConnachie, Richard Hamill
Member Absent: Kendra Messing
Administrators present: Matthew Connelly, Josh Stern, Aaron Sutherland
Motion by Jason McConnachie, support by Danielle Walsh to adopt the agenda for the December 18, 2023 regular meeting. Carried.
Motion by Danielle Walsh, support by Richard Hamill to approve the regular meeting minutes of November 27, 2023. Carried.
Motion by Jason McConnachie, support by Richard Hamill to approve the General Fund bills in the amount of $63,748.05 as presented. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Jason McConnachie to approve the Athletic Fund bills in the amount of $2,028.00 as presented. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel support by Randee Kirkpatrick to approve the Student/School Activity Fund bills in the amount of $4,713.63 as presented. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Danielle Walsh to approve the Food Service fund bills in the amount of $17,091.91 as presented. Carried.
The Board reviewed the prompt pay bills for November 2023.
The Board heard reports from administrative staff Aaron Sutherland, Elementary Principal, Josh Stern, High School Principal and department head John Kirkpatrick, Facility-Wide Maintenance Supervisor.
Motion by Jason McConnachie, support by Curt Vogel to accept, with regret, the resignation of Tammy Wilfong as the Junior High/High School Math Teacher. Carried.
Motion by Jason McConnachie, support by Danielle Walsh to accept, with regret, the resignation of Seth McVittie as the 5th/6th Grade Science Teacher. Carried.
Motion by Jason McConnachie, support by Richard Hamill to accept, with regret, the retirement/resignation of Carol Osborne as bus driver and cooks helper. Carried.
Motion by Richard Hamill, support by Curt Vogel to approve the bond resolution to move the remaining interest left over from the Capital Project Account into the Debt Service Fund. Carried.
The board heard the first readings for the following NEOLA policies:

  1. Policy 2370.01: Online / Blended Learning Program – Revision.
  2. Policy 7217: Weapons – Revision.
  3. Policy 8531: Free and Reduced-Price Meals – Revision.
    Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Richard Hamill to go into closed session at 7:34 p.m. to discuss personnel issues. Roll Call: Richard Hamill – yes; Jason McConnachie – yes; Danielle Walsh – yes; Brandon Stolicker – yes; Randee Kirkpatrick – yes; Curt Vogel – yes; Kendra Messing – absent. Carried.
    Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Randee Kirkpatrick to return to open session at 8:15 p.m.
