The Deckerville Community Schools Board of Education met in regular session on October 23, 2023 in the high school library.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Board Vice President, Richard Hamill.
Members present: Kendra Messing, Richard Hamill, Danielle Walsh, Randee Kirkpatrick, Curt Vogel

Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Kendra Messing to adopt the agenda for the October 23, 2023 Regular Meeting. Carried.
Motion by Kendra Messing, support by Danielle Walsh to approve the minutes of the September 25, 2023 regular meeting. Carried.

Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Kendra Messing to approve the hiring of Jill Harter for the kindergarten paraprofessional position. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Danielle Walsh to approve the hiring of Kanoe Brown for the 1st grade paraprofessional position. Carried.
Motion by Danielle Walsh, support by Curt Vogel to accept, with regret, the resignation of Cody Russell from the 7th grade girls basketball coaching position. Carried.
Motion by Curt Vogel, support by Kendra Messing to approve the Continuity of Learning Plan for 2023-24, as a guideline to follow in the event of a long-term school closure. Carried.
