NOTICE OF ADOPTION
VILLAGE OF DECKERVILLE, SANILAC COUNTY, MICHIGAN

CHAPTER 14 – ARTICLE IV

ADULT-USE MARIHUANA ESTABLISHMENTS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT, at a regular meeting held on October 17, 2022, Village Council of the Village of Deckerville adopted an Ordinance entitled Adult-Use Marihuana Establishments, which implements the provisions of the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act, Initiated Law 1 of 2018. The purpose of the Ordinance is to provide for the licensing and regulating of adult-use marihuana establishments within the Village of Deckerville, Michigan and to provide penalties for violations of the chapter, in order to maintain the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of and visitors to the Village.

The Ordinance has the following sections and catch lines: Sec. 14-85. – Title; Sec. 14-86. – Purpose;
Sec. 14-87. – Definitions; Sec. 14-88. – License Required; Sec. 14-89. – Local Licensing Authority;
Sec. 14-90. – Permitted Locations; Sec. 14-91. – Buffering Requirements;
Sec. 14-92. – License Allocation and Annual Fees; Sec. 14-93. – License Application Submission;
Sec. 14-94. – License Application Evaluation; Sec. 14-95. – License Transfers and Updates;
Sec. 14-96. – Minimal Operational Standards – Retail; Sec. 14-97. – Minimal Operational Standards – Grower Facility; Sec. 14-98. – Minimal Operational Standards – Safety Compliance Facility;
Sec. 14-99. – Minimal Operational Standards – Processor Facility; Sec. 14-100. – Minimal Operational Standards – Secure Transporter; Sec. 14-101. – Denial and Revocation; Sec. 14-102. – Penalties and Discipline; Sec. 14-103. – Effective Date.

A true copy of the Ordinance is available for inspection and may be obtained at the Village of Deckerville Municipal Building, 2521 Black River Street, Deckerville, MI 48427. This Ordinance shall take effect sixty (60) days from the date of publication of this notice.
