NOTICE OF MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE – DEATER

Default having been made in the terms and conditions of a certain mortgage made by Chad Deater, on February 6, 2002, to Eastern Michigan Bank, a Michigan banking corporation, of 65 N. Howard, Croswell, Michigan 48422, and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Sanilac County, Michigan on February 12, 2002, in Liber 672 of Mortgages, Pages 828-838, and upon which mortgage there is claimed to be due as of the date of this notice for principal and interest the sum of Thirty-Two Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Two and 90/100 ($32,992.90) Dollars and said default having continued for more than thirty (30) days and no suit or proceedings having been instituted to recover the debt secured by the mortgage;
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That on August 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Local Time, the said mortgage will be foreclosed by sale at public venue to the highest bidder in the County Courthouse Building, 60 West Sanilac Ave., Sandusky, Michigan 48471 that being the place of holding the Circuit Court for said County, of the premises described in said mortgage or so much thereof as may be necessary to pay the amount due on said mortgage as aforesaid with interest thereon and all legal costs, charges and expenses including the attorney fee provided by law and any sum or sums which may be paid by the undersigned at or before said sale for taxes, assessments and insurance premiums on said premises, which said premises are situated in the Township of Worth, Sanilac County, State of Michigan, and are described as follows:
Lots 573, 574, 575, 576 and 577, Map of Great Lakes Beach, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Liber 3 on Page(s) 11 of Plats, Sanilac County Records.

The length of the period of redemption from such sale will be six (6) months immediately following said sale, unless determined abandoned in accordance with 1948CL 600.3241a, in which case the redemption period shall be thirty (30) days from the date of such sale. If the property is sold at foreclosure sale, pursuant to MCL 600.3278 the Borrower will be held responsible to the person who buys the property at the mortgage foreclosure sale or to the mortgage holder for damaging the property during the redemption period.
