WATERTOWN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS INCLUDING AN ORDINANCE TO IMPOSE A MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS, LICENSES, OR APPROVALS FOR, OR FOR ANY CONSTRUCTION OF, WIND ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEMS, MET TOWERS AND SOLAR ENERGY FACILITIES.
Please take notice that a meeting of the Watertown Township Planning Commission will be held on THURSDAY, MARCH 2, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at Township Hall, 2630 South Sandusky Rd, Sandusky, MI 48471.
At this meeting, the Planning Commission will consider and hold a public hearing on a proposed amendments to the Township’s Zoning Ordinance including, a moratorium on the issuance of permits, licenses, approvals for, or any construction of wind energy conversion systems, MET towers and solar energy facilities.
Copies of the moratorium ordinance may be viewed at the Township Hall during regular business hours or by appointment. The Planning Commission is receiving written comments concerning the proposed moratorium at the Township Hall, 2630 South Sandusky Rd, Sandusky, MI 48471. Comments must be received by the Township prior to the start of the public hearing.
This notice is posted in compliance with P.A. 267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meetings Act) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and published in compliance with P.A. 246 of 1945.
