Dave Tracy Retires after 36 Years at McKenzie Health System
McKenzie Health System (MHS) would like to congratulate Dave Tracy on his retirement from the organization after 36 years of employment. Dave began his MHS career in 1985 as part of the ambulance crew and continued caring for the community in that role throughout his employment.
“When I started at McKenzie several decades ago, I did not envision still being in this role so many years later, but the years go by quickly when you truly enjoy what you do,” shares Tracy. “I’m grateful to have been able to help care for this community in some of the most stressful times in their lives and have made so many friends along the way.”
“Dave has been the face of Sanilac EMS for over 3 decades,” shares Tammy Katt, Sanilac EMS Manager. “He has been a mentor to all of us at one time or another. Dave is the last of the originals. I don’t think any of us thought that Dave would ever retire. I am happy for him to be able to take time for himself, but we will certainly miss his wit and humor. We are happy that Dave will remain part of our staff as a casual EMT.”
“Dave’s professionalism, ability to stay focused under pressure, and passion for caring for others made him a great part of our ambulance service,” states Steve Barnett, DHA, CRNA, FACHE, MHS President and CEO. “We wish him the very best as he enters retirement!”
Dave, along with his daughters Shelby and Ashley recently enjoyed a small staff celebration with refreshments at the hospital.
