The Sandusky Lady Wolves played hosted to the Brown City Lady Green Devils last Tuesday in Sandusky for a GTC East matchup. The Lady Wolves showed their dominance in the first quarter, keeping Brown City scoreless until two minutes into the second quarter. Sandusky kept the pressure on for the entirety of the game, holding Brown City to just 22 points while racking 52 points of their own. Helena Long led the way for the Wolves with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Ally Jansen chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals. Brooke Jansen added 7 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Morgan Taege added 9 points, 4 assists and 4 steals. Grace Guibord added 7 points and 3 rebounds. Adalee Kaufman rounded out the scoresheet with 6 points and 4 rebounds. The win boosts Sandusky’s GTC record to 5-0 (12-2 overall).
The Sandusky Lady Wolves traveled to Memphis last Thursday for another GTC matchup and had fresh legs after the snow day. The Wolves came out firing, holding a 16-7 lead after the first quarter. Sandusky really put the clamps down on defense for the second quarter, shutting out Memphis from scoring a single basket. The Wolves continued their dominance in the second half, allowing just 9 points while scoring 17 more themselves. Sandusky extended their winstreak and remain a perfect 6-0 in the GTC East (13-2 Overall).
