The Thumb Area Legion hosted the North Oakland Eagles for a tough game in Sandusky at the Colleen J. Howe Arena in Sandusky.
The Legion let the Eagles hang on for a period before they were off to the races. The score was tied 1-1 to start the second period when the Legion started steamrolling their opponent.
The Legion scored 3 goals in the second period and scored another 6 goals in the third period to end the game early 10-2. Wyatt Ryan, Colton Hooper, and Matthew Cummings each scored two goals in the contest. Gabe Vanderlip, Chase Talaski, Marshall Ryan, and Caleb Lenter each ended the game with a goal a piece.
Lauren Eager tended goal for the Legion with 28 saves on 30 shots for a save percentage of 93.3%. The Legion were slated to face off against the FNV Griffins on Friday, December 23rd but the game was postponed due to weather. The Legion will have a week off from games before hosting the Tri-Valley Titans on Friday, January 6th.
