At the regular meeting held October 21, the Sanilac ISD Board of Education approved the Consent Agenda as presented:
Review and Consideration of Agenda: Approved the Agenda as presented.
Consideration of Minutes: Approved minutes from: Special Meeting – October 9, 2024
Consideration of Monthly Bills: Approved payment of monthly bills as follows:
General Education $710,352.02
Special Education Career-Technical Preparation $930,740.34 / $650,450.02
Special Revenue Funds $9,335.54
Total $2,300,877.92
Consideration of Monthly Budget Report: Approved.
The Sanilac ISD Board of Education approved to hire Katie VanConant as Superintendent/CTE Principal with a 2.5 year contract.
The Sanilac ISD Board of Education approved the 2025-2026 County Calendar as presented.
Duane Lange, Superintendent, and Renee Jansen, Special Education Director, reviewed with the Sanilac ISD Board of Education some policy updates. No action was taken as this was the first reading of the policies.
The Sanilac ISD Board of Education approved to post the Principal/Supervisor of Special Education Programs position as presented to the Board of Education.
Duane Lange, Superintendent, presented his Administrative Report: The Sanilac County Association of School Boards (SCASB) meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13; The Sanilac Career Center Showcase night is scheduled for Thursday, November 7, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Renee Jansen, Special Education Director, presented her Administrative Report.
The Sanilac ISD Board of Education members were given the opportunity to report back from the local school district Board of Education.
