The Sandusky Varsity golf team traveled to the Belle River Golf Course Friday for a GTE Jamboree with Ubly, Capac, Memphis and Harbor Beach. Sandusky was top dog again, besting the closest competitor by 18 strokes.
Sandusky combined for a 173 on the day, more than enough for first place honors. Scores from the rest of the field were as follows: Ubly 191, Capac 205, Memphis 206, Harbor Beach 217. All six golfers shot well, with Brandon Trepkowski, Kyle Guibord and Carson Shampo all shooting a 43 on the day. Logan Trepkowski was just one stroke behind with a 44. Landen DeLong and Braden Bender both shot 46’s.
Sandusky extend their run of consecutive wins in dual meets and jamborees to a staggering 57 straight over the past two and a half years. Sandusky is set to host another GTE Jamboree at Woodland Hills on Friday.
