Eagles claim Homecoming Victory to stay Undefeated

It was a beautiful night for Deckerville’s Homecoming, and the Deckerville Eagles didn’t disappoint the fans, holding North Huron scoreless, in a 44-0 victory.
Deckerville scored their first touchdown on a Brandon Pattullo 8-yd. run, with the PAT failing. They scored a second touchdown in the first quarter on another B. Pattullo run, this time for 28 yards. Austin Fritch ran in the PAT giving the Eagles 14 after one quarter of play.
The second quarter was all Deckerville, with the Eagles scoring three times, on a Wade Saldana 3-yd. run, and Saldana run for the PAT; an Austin Fritch 13-yd. run and B. Pattullo run for the 2 extra points; and a Fritch 43-yd. run for a touchdown, with the PAT failing. At the half, the Eagles were ahead, 36-0.
The Eagles scored the final touchdown for the game in the third quarter, on a Jared Philpot 3-yd. run, with a Matthew Buzzo run for the PAT.
The Eagles had 14 firstdowns in the game, were 45-279 rushing, 4-3-51 passing for a total of 330 yards. The boys didn’t have any penalties for the night.
Austin Fritch led the Eagles rushing 10-106, he was followed by Jared Philpot 15-81. Wade Saldana 9-38; Brandon Pattullo 5-37; Matthew Buzzo 5-13; and Christopher Franzel 1-4.
The Deckerville defense held the Warriors to one first down, with North Huron rushing 22 times for 20 yards, they had three complete passes for 24 yards. The Warriors had 3 penalties for 20 yards.
The Eagles are 5-0, and are on the road this Friday, when they will play Morrice.
