Eagle Beat 4-29-15 Edition
Prom weekend has come and gone and students are back to putting their nose to the grindstone as exams approach and for our resident seniors, graduating is sneaking up. The seniors’ last day is May 8 for those exempt from exams and May 15 for those who are not. Baccalaureate is May 14 and graduation is on May 17.
Another big date is rolling around for upperclassmen. The Advanced Placement tests begin next week and last until the week of graduation. The AP Calculus test is on May 5 and is from roughly 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The AP U.S. Government and Politics test is on May 12 and AP Comparative Government and Politics is on May 14. Good luck to all students taking them; I hope you manage to get college credit from them!
After a cold, wet, and frankly, snow filled week last week, the spring sports teams are ready for any kind of warmer weather. The softball and baseball teams have Peck on Monday and CPS on Thursday. This weekend the softball team will travel to Port Huron Northern to play in the annual Cancer Tournament in support of childhood cancer.
The track team also has a busy schedule with a home Tri-Meet on Tuesday and travel to Peck May 1 for the Peck Invitational.
Additionally, the softball team is having a bottle drive, so if anyone has any extra cans, find the nearest softball player and chat them up! Any donation is appreciated.
