Deckerville Welcomes New Business“Made Your Way”

Many of the storefronts in Deckerville have been empty for awhile, but it seems as if it the Village is having a regrowth, and Made Your Way LLC, owned by Marcy Chernow, is contributing to that regrowth.
Born and raised in Deckerville, and graduating from Deckerville Schools, was reason enough for Marcy to locate her business in the Village of Deckerville.
Renting, at 3477 Main Street, Made Your Way LLC, is opening its doors to the public this Saturday with a Grand Opening, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., which will feature coffee, cookies, juice, and popcorn. Marcy will also have donuts from the local coffee shop, New Grounds. You will get a free coffee cup with every $10 purchase. If you spend $50 or more you will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate to the store. First place is a $75 gift card, second place is a $50 gift card and third place is a $25 gift card.
Marcy will offer a variety of items in her store. She will have shirts, tumblers, coffee mugs, wood signs, mesh wreaths, wood rounds and home decor. She will offer a monthly kid’s craft club. The first kid’s class is July 13, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. There is still time to sign up for that class. Check out Made Your Way LLC on Facebook for details on that class. Marcy is also offering adult classes for 21 and older.
Why “Made Your Way LLC”? Marcy said, “I chose that name because I do a lot of customization so if you would like to order say a T-shirt it can be ‘made your way’.”
Marcy started doing mesh wreaths about four years ago. then she got into sublimation and wood signs about two years ago. She said, “Opening a store was something that I wanted to do for awhile now and decided, why not?
The mother of four children – Austin, Chelsey, Amanda and Miranda Rose, Marcy said, “They have been a big help in getting the store up and running. The girls have worked many hours with me on the store and I can’t thank them enough. They have been my biggest supporters along with a few others.”
Hours/days for Made Your Way LLC are: Monday and Tuesdays, closed; Wednesday and Thursday, (not sure at this time); Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., for now (that could change); and Sundays, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The DCDC will be doing three ribbon cutting ceremonies on Saturday – the first is at 9:45 a.m., for American Tradition Outdoors, 2108 Black River Street. The second is at 10:00 a.m., for Made Your Way, LLC, 3477 Main Street. The third is at 10:30 a.m., for KASH’D Out Beauty Bar, 2488 Black River St. Everyone is invited to the ribbon cuttings, welcoming these new businesses!
