Marshall Selected as Marlette Superintendent

The Marlette School Board met in special session on June 19th to conduct final interviews for the Superintendent position at Marlette Schools. Long time area resident James Marshall and current Flint-Beecher superintendent Richard Klee were the two finalists for the position. The majority of the board selected Marshall following the close of interviews Monday night. James Marshall has lived in Marlette for most of his life and has held various coaching positions at Marlette but spent most of his professional career in different school districts. Marshall most recently served as a social studies teacher at North Branch schools but spent several years in Sandusky as well.
James Marshall will take the reins after the exit of interim superintendent Lawrence Kroswek on June 30th. Kroswek was hired as interim superintendent after Matthew Karaffa was placed on administrative leave earlier this year.
