Your Input is Needed (Survey about substance use and mental health in the Thumb)

The Thumb Opioid Response Consortium (TORC) is conducting a survey. This survey is for everyone in Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, and Tuscola Counties! We need input from people with mental health and substance use conditions and their families. We are asking the public and community leaders to complete the survey. Input is needed from doctors, therapists, peer coaches and other providers.
To take part in the survey use the QR Code or visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/TORC23
“As an added bonus for taking part, people who complete the survey can enter to WIN one of thirty-two $25 gift cards!” adds Shauna Booms, Project Director.
Knowing community needs will help TORC develop plans and programs. Programs will help prevent substance use, improve access to treatment services, and support people in recovery. A similar survey was conducted in 2020. The 2023 survey will allow TORC to compare results and measure the impact of activities. TORC members include local hospitals, health departments, mental health agencies, and recovery organizations. Educators, medical providers, behavioral health providers, law enforcement officers, and other human service staff also participate. Interested in becoming involved? Visit www.PreventTreatRecover.org or call 810-648-4098; ext. 193. With community input, TORC will continue to increase awareness and combat the stigma of addiction.
