Deckerville Second Graders visit Deckerville Museum

The Deckerville Historical Museum hosted a field trip for the Deckerville Elementary School second graders. There were hands on demonstrations of a corn shucker and water pump, along with a show and tell segment demonstrating the differences in items past and present. Some of the favorites of the children where the extensive collection in the military room, the locally found mastodon, and of course, the toys. The museum is open every Saturday from the first weekend in June until the last weekend in September, v\from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The museum is located at 2485 Black River Street, Deckerville.
