Deputy Chad Schmidt receives Third Commendation

On Friday, July 2, Sheriff Paul Rich awarded a Commendation for Life Saving to Deputy Chad Schmidt of the Uniform Services Division.
On Sunday, June 27, at approximately 9:43 p.m., Deputy Schmidt responded to a medical emergency in the 1200 block of Fetting Road in Watertown Township. The original call indicated a 57-year-old female was not breathing.
Upon Deputy Schmidt’s arrival, he assessed the patient and used an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to shock the patient which caused her to regain a pulse.
This is the third lifesaving commendation that has been issued to Deputy Schmidt in less than 90 days. The Sheriff’s Office is extremely proud of Deputy Schmidt’s quick response, assessment and lifesaving efforts.
