Eagles Bring Win Home

The Deckerville Eagles were on the road last week, playing at Ashley. The boys had no problem bringing home a victory, winning 56-14.
Deckerville scored 14 points in the first quarter, 14 in the second, 22 in the third and 6 in the fourth. Ashley had 8 in the first and 6 in the second.
Deckerville had the first touchdown in the game, scoring on a Kris Kosal 33-yard run. The conversion pass failed. Ashley answered back, scoring on a 56-yard pass, with their conversion good. Deckerville scored again in the first quarter, this time on a Peter Lapp 2-yard run. Parker Merriman ran in the conversion. The Eagles scored first in the second quarter, with Peter Lapp scoring on a 1-yard run. The conversion run failed. Ashley scored on a long 40-yard pass, with the pass conversion failing. Derek Osborne had a 24-yard reception for the next touchdown, with Peter Lapp running in the extra points – giving the Eagles a 28-14 half-time lead. Peter Lapp scored his third touchdown of the night in the third quarter with a 1-yard run, he also ran in the conversion. Parker Merriman ran for 45 yards for the next touchdown, but the pass for the conversion failed. Connor Palmer got on the scoring side next, on a 59-yard recepion, with Dylan Ball running in the extra points. The Eagles got their final touchdown in the fourth quarter on a Dylan Ball 48-yard run. The extra points failed.

TheEagles had 17 first downs, Ashley 8. Deckerville was 4-6-88 passing (two touchdowns); Ashley 6-18-119.
