Sandusky Falls to Bad Axe
Sandusky hosted Bad Axe last week, but took the loss, 14-52.
Quarter scores: Sandusky – 6-0-0-8; Bad Axe – 31-14-7-0.
The Hatchets scored the first two touchdowns in the game, on a 22-yard run and a 51-yard run (both conversions good). Sandusky got on board when Jackson Reinke had a 51-yard run (conversion failed). Bad Axe scored two more times in the first quarter, on a 48-yard run and 57-yard pass (2 point run and kick good).
In the second quarter, the Hatchets scored two touchdowns, on a 29-yard pass and 20-yard run (both kicks good for the extra points). their defense held Sandusky scoreless.
The Hatchets added another 7 in the third quarter.
Sandusky scored its second touchdown in the game in the fourth quarter on a 29-yard run, with the 2-point conversion good.
Sandusky rushed 35-174 yards. Jackson Reinke was 13-95, 1 touchdown; Carter Krause 8-49, 1 touchdown; Kyle Guibord 3-12; Tyler Franzel 4-10; Tyler Bush 2-4; Chase Green 2-3; and Wyatt Heberling 1-1.
Defensively, Bryce Kiley had 8 tackles, and Carter Krause and Tyler Franzel, 5 apiece.
Sandusky will be at home this Friday, taking on Memphis.
