Sheriff’s Office Promotes New Detective

Sheriff Garry Biniecki is pleased to announce the promotion of Deputy Rob Wendling to the position of Detective.
Detective Wendling is a 1997 Graduate of New Lothrop High School, attended Saginaw Valley State University and Delta Police Academy, graduating in Delta’s 79th Class. Detective Wendling started his career at the Sheriff’s Office in 2009 and has worked various assignments, such as Firearms Instructor, Fire Investigator, Drug Task Force Investigator, Special Response Team Member and has recently worked as the Weighmaster and D.A.R.E. Instructor.
He is an outdoor enthusiast and currently resides in the Sandusky area with his family.
