Peck announces Co-Valedictorians and Salutatorian
Peck Schools has announced its co-valedictorians and salutatorian.
Jennah Barbara Cubitt is the daughter of Dawn and Andrew Cubitt, and is the Co-Valedictorian for the Class of 2018 at Peck Community Schools. She has maintained a 3.98 grade point average over her four years of high school.
Jennah has been recognized by her teachers for outstanding academics during her high school years at Peck, and she has received a variety of awards which among them include All A’s All Year and Classroom awards in Algebra and Chemistry.
Along with her academics, Jennah has participated in band, NHS, drama club and quiz bowl.
After graduation, Jennah will be attending Western Michigan University majoring in Audiology.
Cherokee K-sue Johnson is the daughter of Tammi Johnson, Russ Winiarski and M.J. Johnson, and is the Co-Valedictorian for the Class of 2018 at Peck Community Schools. She has maintained a 3.98 grade point average over her four years of high school.
Cherokee is the President of the Peck High School National Honor Society and Student Council, in addition to serving as her class president. She has also served as Captain of Softball, Volleyball and her Academic Games team.
Cherokee has been recognized by her teachers for outstanding academics during her high school years at Peck, and she has received a variety of awards which among them include All A’s All Year and Classroom awards in Government, Economics and World History.
Along with her academics, Cherokee has participated in Miss Sanilac County Outstanding Teen Pageant, Softball, Volleyball, Student Council, NHS, Youth Advisory Council, Yearbook Committee and Academic Games to name a few.
After graduation, Cherokee will be attending Saginaw Valley State University where she has been awarded the Founders Scholarship. She will be majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology
Emma Marie Thompson is the daughter of Steve and Cindy Thompson, and is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2018 at Peck Community Schools. She has maintained a 3.93 grade point average over her four years of high school. In addition to her fine academic success at Peck Emma has been involved in many activities during her high school years.
Emma is a member of the Peck High School National Honor Society, Student Council, Quiz Bowl, Drama Club and International Thespian Society.
Emma has been recognized by her teachers for outstanding academics during her high school years, and she has received a variety of awards which among them include All A’s & B’s, Chemistry, English, Art, Biology and History. She has also received recognition for HOBY, Skills USA and Health Occupations Students of America.
Emma plans on attending Saginaw Valley State University in the fall where she was awarded the University Scholarship. She will be majoring in Occupational Therapy.
