Area Runners Qualify for State Finals

Regional finals for all local teams were held this past weekend, with runners from several teams qualifying for the MHSAA state finals being held this Saturday, November 7th. Marlette’s boys and girls also qualified as a team, while Eric Poth placed first overall in the Algonac meet. Sandusky’s Kaden Thompson and Brandon Hughes placed highly enough to qualify for the Division 3 state final.
Deckerville will send three runners, including Kylee Colesa, Stephen Barker, and Catherine Sanford.
The state finals for all teams, no matter the division, will be held at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI. The first race begins at 8:00 a.m. and the last one ends at roughly 4:00 p.m., please check MHSAA.com to find the time of your team’s District State Final.
