Lady Raiders Finish Second in League Race

The Lady Raiders defeated the Ubly Bearcats last Tuesday, 37-25.
Marlette led 10-5 after a quarter of play and at the half, 20-18. They added 5 points in the third, holding Ubly to 2 and in the fourth they scored 12 points, and kept Ubly to only 5 points.
Dalaney Gage led Marlette with 17 points and 2 assists. Hollie Hartwell scored 12 points and had 1 assist; Ciatilyn Keys 6 points, 4 assists and Josie Hinojosa 2 points and 1 assist. Adi Ruggles led the Raiders in rebounds with 7.
The girls played Harbor Beach on Thursday, taking the loss by 5, 34-39.
The Raiders led 11-7 in the first quarter, with Harbor Beach taking the lead in the second, 15-13. Marlette outscored the ‘Beach by one in the third, 9-8, but Harbor Beach sealed the wind in the fourth, scoring 16 points to Marlette’s 12.
Dalaney Gage led Marlette with 10 points and 1 assist. Hollie Hartwell contributed 9 points and had 1 assist. Rounding off the scoring were Olivia Findlay with 7, Adi Ruggles 4, and Josie Hinojosa and Lily Lemanski 2 each. The win over Ubly improves Marlette’s record to 15-6 overall (9-3 GTC), good enough for second place honors in the GTC East. The Lady Raiders traveled to Peck Wednesday night to face off with the Pirates for the District Semi-Final.
