Marlette Holds Landmark Academy to Single Digits

The Marlette Lady Red Raiders hosted Landmark Academy at home last Monday. Marlette wasted no time in running the score up the widest margin of victory all season. Marlette scored 28 points in the first quarter while holding Landmark to just 6, and then Marlette did not let Landmark score another basket. Marlette scored seventy one points in the victory over Landmark, for a final score of 71-6. Ten of eleven girls on the Marlette squad scored in the contest, and Olivia Findlay led the way with 13 points, 5 assists, 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Gabby Martinez had 12 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in the victory. Ciatilyn Keys chipped in 11 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Dalaney Gage added 9 points, 2 assists, aand 8 steals. Hollie Hartwell had 8 points, an assist and a steal in the win. Hayley Hazen added 6 points, and 4 steals for the Red Raiders. Josie Hinojosa had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist. Lily Lemanski added 4 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, and a block. Adi Ruggles had 12 points, 2 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Emily Newland rounded out the scoresheet with 2 points, 7 rebounds, and an assist. The Red Raiders hosted Brown City at home on Tuesday night, check back next week for the results.
