Raiders take Two Wins

The Lady Raiders picked up two non-conference wins against the Bad Axe Hatchets (no scores available) at home last week.
Kennedy Lefler got the win for the Raiders, striking out four and walking three. Top batters for Marlette were Carleigh Nickens with three singles, two home runs and 6 RBI’s while Halle Reed added a single, two doubles and two home runs knocking in four runs and Sydney Parker connected on four singles, a triple and three RBI’s. Other key hits for the Lady Red Raiders came from the bats of Sidney Coltson with four singles, a double and two RBI and McKenzie Wilhelmsen’s single and three doubles. Wilhelmsen got the win in game two, with four strikeouts and 2 walks.
In other action played at Harbor Beach, Marlette won another doubleheader (no scores available). Kennedy Lelfer got the win, striking out three and walking one batter. Offensively for the Raiders, Sydney Parker smacked three singles, a double and had a RBI while Reed belted six hits, including four singles, and drove in three runs. Nickens also had six hits in the two games, smashing a triple, two doubles and three singles to drive in six runs. Wilhelmsen, the winning pitcher in the nightcap, had three singles, two doubles and three RBI’s while Lefler had three singles and a double. Wilhelmsen struck out three and walked six.
