SNOVER – Arlene Marz, age 91, of Snover, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015.
She was born on June 21, 1923 is Sandusky, Michigan to the late Edward and Elsie (Vanderveer) Bulgrien. Arlene married Joseph Karl Marz on April 9, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away April 18, 2009.
Arlene was a member of Mooretown Brethren in Christ Church, Sandusky.
She is survived by eight children, Joseph (Cindy) Marz of Snover, Rene (Iva) Marz of Lapeer, Sharon Marz of Southgate, Karen Havens of Snover, Paul (Irene) Marz of Linden, Linda (Dave) Hearsch of Sandusky, Carol Marz of Port Huron and David (Linda) Marz of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin (Helen) Bulgrien and Kenneth (Elva) Bulgrien, both of Snover; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Rene Marz; one great-grandson, Matthew Kocan; two sisters, Luella Kady and Erva Schlicht; two brothers, James Bulgrien and Lester Bulgrien.
Visitation hours was held Sunday, March 29, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky, and on Monday, March 30, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the Mooretown Brethren in Christ Church.
Pastor Brad Gniewek officiated.
Burial was at the Johnson Cemetery, Snover.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice
