Hospital Auxiliary Halloween Party a Success
It wasn’t spooky or too frightening, but the Deckerville Hospital Auxiliary’s OctoberFun Halloween Party had witches, evil sorts, robbers, and many other characters milling through the crowd at the Mi-Dahs Well Hall in Deckerville on Saturday evening, October 24. Guests had fun choosing which prize to bid on from a hauntingly wonderful array of raffle baskets.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet style dinner then dancing to a variety of favorite music styles. Those dressed in costume vied for a $50 prize for first place. The Deckerville Community Hospital Auxiliary would like to thank everyone who supported the OctoberFun Halloween Dinner Dance. “Thanks to your support, we had a very successful fund-raiser for the hospital,” said Lyn Regentin, auxiliary president and event co-chairperson.
Jeanette Hooper, co-chair for the event, added, “We are very grateful to the thirty-eight local businesses and individuals who donated cash and raffle prizes. Thank you to the Mi-Dahs Well Hall and Main Street Café for hosting the event, and thanks to the band, Middle Aged Crazy, for the great music.”
“Finally, thanks to everyone who purchased tickets for our fund-raiser; we couldn’t have done it without all of you,” added Regentin.
