Casual for a Cause Donation

Wil Morris, CEO, on behalf of the staff of Sanilac County Community Mental Health, was pleased to present a check in the amount of $728 to Shannon Kreger, Sanilac County Veterans’ Affairs, for their Transportation Fund. This fund assists with the transportation costs for veterans to various appointments. This donation is very near and dear to the hearts of Sanilac CMH staff. They are very grateful to be able to give back to those who have given so much.
The money donated by CMH employees is obtained through their “Casual for a Cause” fundraiser. CMH employees are allowed to dress casually every other Friday in exchange for a $3 dollar donation to the “Casual for a Cause” fund, with the understanding that the money would be donated towards initiatives that benefit citizens of Sanilac County. CMH staff create an annual calendar that identifies the recipients of the funds raised.
Former recipients include Thumbs Up for Kids, Humane Society, Walk for Warmth, United Hospice Service, the Sanilac County Child Advocacy Center, the Countryside Free Methodist Church/DHHS Backpack Project, the Outpost/Sportsmen Ministry Food Bank and Shop with a Hero.
