Citizens of the Year Announced
The Sandusky Chamber of Commerce has announced this year’s recipients of awards.
Citizen of the Year- Erin Carlson; Volunteer of the Year- Community Hearts; Civic Samaritan of the Year- Rick Pangburn; Youth Group of the Year-Sandusky High School Key Club; Business of the Year- Northstar Bank.
Golden Hammer Awards for business investment for projects from 2016, 2017, and 2018 are: AVS Tech Team; Burger King, Dollar Tree, Edward Jones – Financial Advisor: Jason Smith, Elk Street Brewery, Emerson, Firebird Theater, Godwin’s Furniture, J & C Thumb Gunnery, Jensen Bridge, Krause Electric Company, Little Caesers, MCDC – My Community Dental Centers, McDonalds Restaurant, Production Development Systems, LLC, ROPA North America, LLC, Sandtown Florist, Scott Salowitz Agency, Shanna’s Paper Cuts, Sheldon Medical Supply, Stone’s Car Care, Sugartown Sweets Shop, Taco Bell, TH Fitness, The Robin’s Nest, The Vault Steakhouse and Saloon, TLC Insurance, and Vibracoustic.
The Citizen of the Year Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th at Woodland Hills Golf Club in Sandusky. Doors open at 6pm, dinner at 7pm with the program starting at 8pm. Tickets ($40 each) can be found at Sandusky City Hall, Northstar Bank or the Tribune Recorder Leader. .
