Hills & Dales General Hospital offers New Support Group
CASS CITY – Hills & Dales General Hospital is pleased to share information about their new support group called the Better Breathers Club! Starting April 16, this support group will focus on people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and their caregivers. The overall goal is to help individuals and their caregivers learn new ways to cope with the disease, learn tools to improve quality of life, and to gain support and understanding from others going through the same experience.
The Better Breathers Club will meet on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Hills & Dales General Hospital. Led by Brenda McComb, Respiratory Therapist, the group will enjoy a guest speaker each month, as well as time to discuss any concerns they have and share tips and tools with one another.
In addition, Hills & Dales General Hospital is also offering a “Freedom From Smoking” Program for individuals looking to quit smoking. This program is taught by a certified facilitator of the American Lung Association and is seven weeks long. People who use this program are six times more likely be to smoke-free one year later!
