One injured in traffic Crash

On January 14, 2016 at 10:04 a.m. Sanilac Central Dispatch received a call reporting a one vehicle Personal Injury Accident that occurred in Delaware Township. The occupants of the vehicle were picked up by family members prior Deputies’ arrival.
According to Sgt. Matt Armstrong, once the vehicle occupants were located the investigation determined that 18-year-old Danniele Moore of Minden City was traveling northbound on Schock Road near Russell Road in a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. She failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway due to the snowy conditions and the vehicle entered the ditch on the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver, Danniele did not sustain any injuries in the crash. Her 16-year-old female passenger from Harbor Beach was transported by family members to Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe for treatment of her injuries sustained in the crash.
Both subjects were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
Information provided by the Sanilac County Sheriff Department.
