IT’s all greek to me:  Bald eagles belong to the genus haliaeetus. Haliaeetus is formed from two Greek words, can you identify the words , and their meaning?  Do you know the correct answer?  Call, e-mail, post a comment on our website or enter via facebook starting at 12:00 noon on Wednesday through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, each week for your chance to win. Each person with a correct response will be entered into a random drawing for a pair of Firebird Theater movie tickets. Four sets of tickets will be awarded each week. Last Parting Shot Question: 21 GUN SALUTE: Most are familiar with a 21-gun salute, but who receives a 50-gun salute, and for what purpose? Answer: A 50 gun salute is tendered to the Union on the day of the President’s funeral, as well as other dates of historical significance, including Independence Day.
