Sandusky hosted Cass City last Tuesday in Sandusky. The Lady Wolves held the lead through the first quarter but trailed by 2 points at halftime. Both teams scored 14 in the third, with Sandusky outscoring Cass City 9-7 in the fourth to send the game into overtime. The scoring was back and forth but eventually Cass City took a two point lead and held it to beat Sandusky: 51-49.
Morgan Taege led the Wolves with 19 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Ally Jansen had 16 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Grace Guibord notched 7 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss. Brooke Jansen added 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 7 steals.
“Cass City is a great team and I couldn’t be prouder of our girls effort.” Stated head coach Al Demott, adding “We learned a lot from this game and it will make us a better team moving towards GTC East play.”
