Redskin Review 10-21-15 Edition
Sandusky is now home to another homecoming king and queen! Running mates, Chase Tucker and Kayla Krueger were lucky enough to take home these amazing titles. Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time these two remarkable individuals have shared a stage. They were both also freshman representatives on homecoming before they made their royal debut. Moreover, it’s almost bittersweet to end their senior year homecoming the way they began their high school career. The crowning just proves how much these two excellent students have grown throughout high school and just how much their peers have adored them. Furthermore, this final high school title is a heartwarming end to their high school period.
On the other hand, the rivalry between Memphis and Sandusky during the game made for an exciting game. However, Sandusky still easily won with a final score of 54-12, an extraordinary game for everyone who came out to support the Redskin football players. This win assured Sandusky’s drive to receive the Greater Thumb Conference East trophy, which they haven’t obtained since 2004! Of course, in general, this has been an amazing season for our Redskins; so hopefully, we can carry this same spirit into the rest of the year and the next!
Not to say there weren’t any “glitches” through the night. The immense storm the past night left our football field lacking a working scoreboard. However, our always ready announcers, Mr. Lasecki and Mr. Brown, took this opportunity in stride to announce each change in the game with even more enthusiasm. This is just another representation of our Redskin’s endless spirit in every situation!
Hopefully, everyone gets the chance to experience the excitement our students, faculty, and fans bring to every event. Our Redskins never disappoint in any category with an astounding contribution from each person involved. Therefore, for these reasons alone, hard work and positivity, we’ve ended homecoming wonderfully once again.
